ruffles, tiers, drapes & zips

I’m so happy that we have Giordano Ladies & Giordano Concepts here in Manila now. Yes, I do know that I’m bias since I work for the company but seriously, I love their clothes to pieces. Their brand aesthetics totally jive with mine. And the employee discount I get doesn’t hurt either. Well, maybe a little bit on my wallet. Hahaha.

I know I’ve been complaining a lot about life and all that. I guess this is just the time where everything is not going the way you want it to be. I think one just must look ahead and think of what lessons you’ll be able to pick up from the troubles you’ve experience. Yeah, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade as they say.

wink

bad blogger is lloyda

I know I am such a bad blogger. i haven't blogged for like a week already. I'm so sorry. Things are not as great as it should be. Hopefully I'll find more time to blog and tell you guys about what's happening to my life and what I've been up to. Been busy with work. Have I told you that we are moving into a new house? I'm also looking forward to that. More closet space I'm hoping. Plus it will be the perfect time for me to purge all my old clothes that I've outgrown.

blazer blaze

I saw this blazer in my closet (I completely forgot about it) when I was looking for something to wear for a quick shopping trip to the mall with the fiance. I sewed on the gold buttons because the old ones are these silver round with the brand embossed on them. This blazer is kids size 8. I got them really cheap too! From P1500 (around US$32) to P300 (US$6). Quite a steal yeah?

I’m still wearing a LOT of blacks lately. I should be adding more colour into my outfits.

I know I know! I'm such a bad blogger that I've been neglecting my blog. Anyway, it's Sale season here in Manila right now. I haven't really gone shopping much and no new goodies to show. Maybe this sale season is not for me. I'm sad that the shopping gods have abandoned me but maybe they are just giving me a break. Hahaha.

Anyway, I'll just post my outfits these past few days.

hectic weekend

The event was great. A lot of people came & I guess that's the whole point of the event. We want to let people know that we are open in Manila already and hopefully they'll support the store.

dark lace romance

The weather is so gloomy today that I’ve decided to wear something as gloomy.

I had a little fun with my camera 'coz I found my tripod! It's been missing since I can't remember when. Hahaha.

I need more lace blouses. I saw some from Zara before but I wasn't able to go back and now they are all gone. Great huh?

tie a little ribbon

I often envy people living in other countries where they can wear whatever they want and nobody bats an eyelash. In our country it's a different thing. People tend to stare, make snide & snarky comments or laugh when someone is wearing something out of the norm. We do not have a healthy street fashion going on here. I mean when your public transportation & security sucks like ours. You wouldn't be caught dead wearing short skirts, blings & what knots. I don't know. You also need to dress up appropriately when going to the different malls! One can dress wildly in Rockwell me thinks but definitely not in Mega Mall. I think it all boils down to the demographics of the place one goes to.

the polka dot kid

I was cleaning my clothes pile awhile ago and saw this jacket & skirt... it's obvious i love polka dots eh?

On a different note. It seems like I'm the only person here in Manila who did not go to the Zara sale. Yep, today was the 1st day of the sale. I was cooped up here at home cleaning my clothes pile and packing some of my clothes for our move next month. I so want to go. Maybe I'll go on a weekday when everyone is back at work. Hehehe. We shall see.

the first day of 2009

So the first day of 2009 has come & gone just like that but I'm looking forward to 2009. I think everyone is doing their new year's resolutions but let me tell you I am not great in keeping my new year's resolutions at all. Most of the time I break them by the first week! Hahaha.

1. work hard: I need to help out and start taking work seriously.
2. wake up early: I need to stop going to work late. Even though I'm in flexi time doesn't mean I don't need to be at the office by 9.
3. save!: I really really need to stop my impulsive buying.
4. eat less & healthy & exercise: Stop my binge eating and start eating proper food not junk food. And go to the gym every week.
5. utilize my clothes: I have a lot of clothes and I must wear them more than once!!!
6. keep my room & closet tidy: This one is going to be really hard but hopefully I'll be able to do this when we move house in a few months.

welcoming 2009

1 said something
It’s customary for us to wear polka dots for the welcoming of the new year. So yeah I’m killing two birds in one stone as they say one must wear purple for a lucky 2009!

Had pritchon, lechon baka (roasted calf), garlic crabs and salad for our New Year’s eve dinner. Yummy!

And celebrated 2009 with a bang! Loads of fireworks littered the sky tonight.

Happy New Year everyone!
