sailor stripes ahoy!

14 said something
Today's the first day of the Port88 sale at the Mega Tent but I wasn't able to go because Saturdays are usually the Tans family day. I hung out and have dinner with the husband's family during Saturdays. But I'll be there tomorrow to help out man the booth in the afternoon. I hope I'll get to meet some of you there!

Such a busy day today.Woke up early for a meeting this morning then off to check out cribs for the little baby boy. I can't believe the prices of some cribs some stores are selling! Super expensive, I tell you! After that I went to the shop for a visit. We are currently on sale so if some of you girls want to check out the store... hehehe.

Wearing pink & black again if you guys notice. Heeeee... I just love pink! And well black too!

maxing out

10 said something
I'm obsessed with maxi dresses at the moment. It's the easiest dress to wear at my present state. It's very comfy and you look chic at the same time! I have a few dresses that I can't wear at the moment 'coz they're too long! Hahaha. The downside of being vertically challenged eh? I think I need to go to the tailor to have them altered first.

enchanté dinner

22 said something
There is one thing I love as much as I love fashion and it's great food! I simply love to eat. Last night we attended a birthday celebration at Enchanté Restaurant & Bar by Chef Jessie (3/F, Oakwood Joy Nostalg Center, 17 ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig, Metro Manila. +632-425-2650). The food was simply heavenly. Wagyu steak & foie gras for the win! Granted that I can't eat much of the latter one but I did steal a bite or two. Hehehe.

Since it's a birthday party I can't wear my usual slimming black outfit so I decided to take another route and wore a pale nude tent dress and cinched it with a lace belt.

POSH pocket shoes

5 said something

Admit it. As much as we girls love sky high heels they do come with a not so great after effect... achy feet especially when we are in them for hours standing up or walking about. Thankfully for our feet no longer need to hurt 'coz you can change into these chic comfy flats when you're feet are crying out "I can't take it anymore!" Hahaha.

These foldable flats from POSH pocket shoes have a double cushioned sole that will make your feet extra comfy after a long day from wearing heels. The best part? Posh pocket shoes are foldable, rollable and comes in a mini purse that is small enough to fit into your bag. When it's time for you to change into your flats the mini purse transforms into a tote where you can store your pretty high heels. ;)

Oh and POSH pocket shoes is giving away a pair of their Breton Slip-ons! (These are my ultimate fave from their collection.) All you have to do is tell them what your fave pair of Poshies and why. If you already have a pair of Poshies, go take a picture of you wearing them! That's even better! Like them in Facebook, follow them on Twitter or heck do both! Post it on their wall or blog about it. The winner will be announced on July 28, 2010. That's next week already! So what are you waiting for? Go ahead blog about it! Who knows! You might be the lucky one to own these lovely shoes!

And do catch them at the Super Sale Bazaar next weekend (July 30 to August 1, 2010) at the Rockwell Tent.

sale sale sale away!

Don't you just adore sale season? I do, I do, I do! But I really haven't bought much this season. You guys know the reason why. It's hard to shop and fit clothes when you have a huge tummy and when almost all of them won't fit you (mostly bottoms though). You'll just end up depressed! That's what I feel most of the time. Hahaha. One thing for sure though! Being pregnant is a super great exercise that will make you more creative on how to wear your clothes without looking like Mrs. Frumpy!

Have you guys heard about Payless opening in Festival Mall next week? Those shoe-aholic living in the South rejoice!!! Oh how I wanna go and check out their collection. I super love their Alice + Olivia for Payless shoes. But their first store is just too far! Hahaha. Yeah, I'm obviously from the North and going to Alabang is always like a field trip for me. But from what I heard they'll be opening shops in Mega Mall, Robinson's Galleria, Greenhills, Shangri-La, Power Plant, & Market Market plus some other mall I can't remember. So yeah, us North people don't need to be sad and just wait for them to open a store near us.

big bow day

14 said something
A very sad Lloyda I am. I was blog hopping awhile ago and saw that the floral lace-up boots I want from Forever21 is available in Mega Mall already from Kira's blog post. So yeah I went there after work to check if they still have them. Lo & behold... they are all sold out!!! Waaaah! The shopping gods are not with me today. :(

Forever21 have a lot of new stuff out though. I think they release new stuff almost every week so it's nice to go visit them ever so often to check out their new stuff. The lines to the dressing room is still quite long but manageable and there are no lines at the cashiers! Imagine that! I reckon going on a weekday is totally a lot better than going on a weekend when there are a whole lot more people shopping. Heh!

On another note. Don't you think my huge bow headband is the cutest?!? Just a funny thought... what would you do if there's a person wearing this huge headband in front of you in a cinema?

Here's a little teaser for my very first blog give-away. I've reached 100 followers. Yey! I'm still thinking on how the give-away mechanics will go. I shall keep you updated my dear readers.

Random thought:
I can't believe I've been style blogging for 6 years already! It's great looking at my past outfits post to see how my style evolved through the years.

3D4D, who do you look like?

15 said something
Had our 4D ultrasound this afternoon to see who the little boy looks like... and tada! The doctor said he looks like his daddy! I was looking at the printout and can't even figure out who baby looks like but oh well. We shall just see in a month time eh?

So it's harder for me to dress up now as the tummy is definitely bigger. I'm on my 8th month now so yeah the doctor said that it will definitely grow bigger still! Eeeep! I'm glad that I didn't gain so much weight from this pregnancy. Also, I'm trying to steer away from loose dresses 'coz they make me look hideously huge! Hahaha. I'm back to my black & white fail safe outfit. It's easier to dress up with just black & white. One can never go wrong you know? ;)

lazy sundays

Sundays are always lazy days. Went to hear Mass with my husband then got the little boy a few cute clothes from Zara & Gap. The sale items at Zara is almost depleted. I didn't see the pale pink blazer I want anymore. So sad. Oh well...

Decided to wear my jersey maxi dress I got from Forever21. I was pleasantly surprise to see this dress when I went there. I was eyeing this dress online but it was gone the following week! Imagine that! So yeah I guess the shopping gods were good to me that day. Hahaha.

Wearing my pink cape from WAGW today. I like the stuff from that store they got really cute trendy stuff in affordable prices. I know my leggings you've seen before.

Oh I'm thinking of having a blog give-away. Though I haven't fully decided when. I'm thinking of giving away a jacket. What do you guys think?

In another note. The husband and I absolutely adore MindStyle toys! We have a  collection (albeit a small one) of their wonderful wonderful vinyl toys. My absolutely fave is the Two Faced Hazel by Kathie Olivas. We are still missing a couple from the 9" Two-Faced Hazel collection though. So we are on the look-out for that.

Forgive me but I just finish watching Leap Year and can I just say awwwww... Hahaha. Don't you just love watching romantic comedies? I do! I just love love them. Feel good movies are just lovely!

Nothing much to say about my outfit. My dress belongs to my aunt. Hahaha. I borrow from my mum & aunt a lot these past few days. No need to go shopping for maternity clothes eh? Saving up my money for shoes!!!

happy happy colours

12 said something
Decided to wear something bright and happy for today's outfit after the howling and scary winds, strong rain and no electricity (we do not have a generator) last night. Good thing the typhoon left early this morning but she also left us with no electricity (still!) and destruction all around. :(

Went to visit my dad also coz he had a minor surgery this morning. He's doing okay and will be coming home tomorrow. So yey!

Don't you just love how this jacket's colour complimented the dress? I got this dress a long time ago but haven't got the chance to wear it coz it's loose and long. I had it shorten just yesterday! Hahaha. Long dresses don't look great on me when I'm not wearing heels coz I'm small. It's super great that the dress accommodated the tummy perfectly!!!

On another note: I'm super happy to be able to post an outdoor/garden photo! Thanks to my siblings! Hahaha. I was able to bully them to take photos of me before we left the house to visit our dad.

i'm so 80's

5 said something
Looking at my outfit today it looks like it's straight out from the 80's! Hahaha. I blame the acid washed jeggings! I know for some people jeggings (especially an acid washed pair) are ugly but for me they are wonderful! I love them! Perfect fit all the time, you can eat buffet and they will still fit you and they tuck into boots perfectly!

I saw a couple of wonderful jeggings in Forever21 when I went there but didn't buy 'coz I'm not sure if I would fit into them and I'm also too lazy to line-up at the long dressing room queue. :p

pink accent

14 said something
I am still sick. It's no fun at all. I'm not allowed to drink any medicine as it might harm the baby. So all I am drinking is water (loads of it), fresh orange juice and lots of rest, rest rest.

I've been itching to go thrift shopping lately. I don't know why but I really really really wanna go. It's been awhile since I've last gone thrifting. Though I seriously doubt that I could 'coz of my present state. I'm sure  it's going to be really hard for me as thrift shops here in the city are really hot and dusty! Heh! Maybe I could go after I give birth. Well the thing here is I really just wanna go shopping. I tried on shoes awhile ago but nothing seems to look good with my chunky bloated ankles. Gah! It's so hard to go shopping for anything when you feel bloated. :p

I recently discovered this dress in my old clothes pile that I stuffed in the attic. Decided to pair it with my oversize BF vest and floral fedora. I remembered that I have a  pair of pink & black spectators and it's a perfect match with the dress don't you think? Toning down the girly-ness of the dress with "manly" pieces.

our cute doggie!

sick & bored on a friday night

25 said something
Since I'm home alone, sick and bored here. I've decided to copy Paxie and post about how and where I store my beloved shoes. Hahaha. When we were designing our room. I told the interior decorator about my shoes and that I really need ample space for them. So hence my shoe cabinet on one side of the room. I got rid of my shoe boxes as they only take up space. The shelves can be pulled out so I can get the shoes on the 2nd row.

Looks familiar right?
It's because my shoe cabinet serves as my background for my outfit photos sometimes.

1st cabinet is where I keep my lace-ups (oxfords/brogues/jazz shoes). I know they are kinda all jumbled up as I am running out of space for all of them. Hahaha.

My heels cabinet. I really miss wearing these. Soon my babies, soon!

My high heeled lace-ups/oxfords and wedge shoe cabinet.

My boots & booties shoe cabinet... though there are some heels scattered here and there .
Can you see my wedding shoes? They're the white with blue heels.

Looking at my shoes now I really do think I need to buy shoes in other colours. Ah! I wanna go shoe shopping right now!!!

I hope you like my little post. I will share my clothes closet someday after I finish organizing it. As of right now it's still super messy. :)
