Wanna be my date to the Clinique Real Women Party? (closed)

0 said something
Clinique has chosen Gino Erana as the winner of The Clinique Chronicles!

And, Clinique's very happy with the results of the campaign, so they decided to give gifts to runners-up CorrineMirzi, and Mary Grace for joining the promo! They will be e-mailed by Clinique on how they can claim their gift at Rustan's Makati. :)

As I've always said that when it comes to beauty products I am totally clueless. But there is one thing I am pretty sure of and it is Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. I've been using this lotion ever since my mum gave me a bottle when I was back in grade school. Those were the days when my skin broke-out and was super oily. I think we all went through that puberty awkward skin stage. I remember that my mum gave me the whole set of Clinique's 3-step program but I must that I never did get into the habit of using their program as I find their toners very harsh for my skin but I keep going back to their Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. I just love how gentle this moisturizer is on my skin. Another fond memory of Clinique is that I would always receive those cute Clinique pouches (that I would use as my pencil case) from my balikbayan aunt. The pouches are filled with little make-up samples that I would put on when I play dress-up with friends.

You might be wondering why I'm talking about a beauty brand all of a sudden when this is a style blog. Well you see Clinique Philippines contacted me to be part of the the 6 bloggers for their campaign called "The Clinique Chronicles". Clinique invited me to their Clinique Real Women Party on November 5 and I get to bring a reader with me! :) How cool will that be? So would you like to be my date to the party?

Here's how you can join:
  1. Leave a comment and share your Clinique experience. You can talk about anything to do with Clinique. It can be your fave Clinique product or why you love Clinique.
  2. Remember that you must be available for dinner on November 5 (Saturday) in Makati. I don't want to be dateless, okay? :)
  3. I will ask my dear husband to choose the winner to be unbias & fair.
  4. The contest will end end on November 3, 2011 at 11:59pm. I will announce who my date will be by November 4, sometime after lunch. Details of the event will be announced via blog post & twitter
  5. Please don't forget to leave your name & email address so I can contact you!

grey weather sweater dressing

When I got these awesome lace boots in the mail today I knew I have to wear them right away! Look how pretty kick ass they are!!! Good thing I was wearing a grey/black colour palette today so they fit right in with my outfit.

Thank you Seibufashion Shop for sending them! For those who doesn't know Seibufashion Shop is one of the first Multiply shops I've ordered from way back in maybe around 2005/2006 (heeee.... I can't remember). Yes, I've been online shopping in Multiply for such a long time already. Don't you just love online shopping? It's super fun that you can go shopping even in your jammies at some ungodly hour! And I tell you it is addicting!!!

As of the moment Seibufashion Shop is offering a U.S. Spree until November 12, 2011. For those who are interested in ordering stuff from U.S. based sites but have no Paypal or credit card, here is your chance! Do check it out. The shop also offer pre-order of Asian fashion items. Great selection of jackets, shoes, bags and clothes to choose from.

waisted

A wardrobe is never complete without this staple. A white tee. It's so easy to dress around it. You can glam it up with a ball gown skirt or go on a casual road with pairing it with good old jeans. I decided to go on a business casual look: paired my sexy white v-neck tee with my black highwaisted trousers & silk pale pink lounge jacket. I super love this particular v-neck tee because the deepness of the V is just right. It's not too deep but it's still perfect & sexy looking.

Lately I've been going obsessive with my hair. I've been searching for hair stuff in Multiply Marketplace. Since I don't get to go to the malls that much anymore. I'm so happy that I can still go shopping online. These are the stuff I recently got from my Multiply hair stuff haul.

Strawberry foam hair curlers! How cute noh?

Another kind of foam hair curlers & a large pearl spin pin

Magic hair bun maker in small & large

Curling comb. Kinda looks funny eh?

oxfords tuesday: little black dress

0 said something
Let me tell you a secret. I am super envious of people who are very good in mix & matching. Truth be told I think it is actually better to have a limited wardrobe because you will get to maximize your clothes. I am strongly lacking in this department (Well, you might want to add accessorizing in there too!) this mixing & matching clothes or the fact that I simply find it hard to remix my old clothes. I'm not saying that I don't re-use my clothes because I do. I am just having a hard time coming up with new ways of wearing them. I get stuck with just one outfit idea. Have you ever visited the blog, The Uniform Project? I am in awe with her remixing skills! Imagine wearing the same dress for a year yet she made it work! She came up with a lot of different looks and looked superb!

Take this dress I'm wearing now. I've worn this dress a number of times but I often styled it in a similar way. With black coordinates. Can you suggest some other way for me to wear this dress?

When I saw this maxi I knew that I needed to have this. I love the colour and the dainty flower print. Plus the fact that it got pockets! I loooove pockets in my skirts & dresses. I decided to pair another floral print to my maxi skirt since they share the same colour family. I know I'm all coved up with my trusty khaki cardigan coz well you see I get cold really fast.

old clothes become new again

Sorry for the grainy photos. Took these with my iphone. Forgot to bring my camera with me. I think I need to buy myself those cute little handy point & shoot camera when I couldn't be bothered to lug around my bulky DSLR.

Wearing old clothes I have since 2006, I think? Don't you just love it when you discover that you can still wear your old clothes without looking dated? I think I even got the maxi skirt in my rare ukay-ukay trips before. I miss going to ukay-ukay. I swear you do find great gems if you know how to look.

vintage flats as it is

0 said something
My mother in law gave me her vintage Ferragamo pumps. Don't you just love how classic these shoes are? Since I can't wear all my platforms & towering heels anymore I've been searching for all my flats and comfy shoes that I can wear. It's quite hard dressing around flats when all your platforms are calling on to you to wear them. Hahaha. But of course I have to be strict and not wear them as long as I don't have a go signal from my doctor.

oxfords tuesday: sure thing, polka dot!

0 said something
I recently found this chiffon shorts I bought a month ago but completely forgot about. Luckily I unearthed it from my ever growing clothes pile on my closet. I tell you... my closet is not a pretty sight. It looks like a huge clothes dump. Sigh, I really need to learn how to be tidier.

I brought out my Anthology London brogues out to complete my outfit since today is Oxfords Tuesdays! Dainty looking outfit for today.

Spent the bi-polar weather Monday decked in my comfy outfit. How I miss wearing trousers! But then again pretty soon I won't be able to fit into most of them again. Hehehe. I'm wearing my ultimate fave patent loafers. It's so true how you need to break in shoes. When I first wore these babies they gave me blisters! But now they are really comfy and I love love them to bits!

Lookie! I finally able to do a messy high bun! I'm mighty proud! :D
