Are you ready to shop your fave bloggers closet this Saturday?

0 said something
Manila’s finest fashion bloggers will leave their laptops at home once again to attend BLOGGERS UNITED BAZAAR (Part 2) on December 3, 2011 at Treston International College, Taguig, this coming holiday season.

It is the second installment of the first-ever Bloggers United: An Interactive Shopping Affair which was held last May. Due to insistent demand from readers and bloggers alike, Bloggers United (http://www.facebook.com/bloggersunitedph) team in partnership with the country’s largest online shopping website, Multiply Philippines (http://multiply.com/) have gathered Manila’s fashion bloggers to sell their pre-loved but very stylish closet pieces!

This event is the perfect opportunity for both bloggers and their adoring readers to mingle and personally interact with each other. Fun contests and exciting giveaways from sponsors and entertaining performances from bloggers (Walkie Talkies, Reese & Vica) themselves will definitely keep this event from being a dull one.

Some of the notable bloggers attending the event include Divine Lee, Laureen Uy, Kookie Buhain, Lissa Kahayon, David Guison, Karl Leuterio, Patricia Prieto and Preview Magazine’s own Daryl and Andre Chang.

But because Bloggers United wishes to go beyond the geographic limitations of the archipelago and extend its reach beyond Metro Manila and so for this event, they are flying in some of Cebu’s very own fashion bloggers which include Kryz Uy, Eden Villarba, designer Yves Camingue, Gillian Uang and Mildred Zapanta and a few more.

Part of the proceeds from this event will go to the GMA Kapuso Foundation (http:// www.kapusofoundation.com/) for its school building project, a small but significant step to improve the Filipino youth’s access to education.

The organizers behind BLOGGERS UNITED BAZAAR (PART 2) are Ana Gonzales (http://anagonzales.com), Melai Entuna (http://styleandsoul.blogspot.com) and Aisa Ipac (http://ipaxme.blogspot.com), a team of blogger friends encouraging camaraderie and sense of “community” among Manila’s (and eventually, the country’s) fashion blogging community through events and productions like this.

This is a one-day-only event that you shouldn’t really miss! It will be in a bigger venue with twice more the number of participating bloggers to meet! This is the perfect shopping day this Christmas because the most affordable and most fashionable clothes, accessories and footwear will be up for grabs. See you!

Dinner with friends are always the best. So funny when we were a whole lot younger my friends and I used to hit the clubs almost every night. Now a days you won't even see us up around 12 midnight as we are all resting already. Our night outs now are just a quiet dinner (potluck!) at a friends house to talk about family & kids. My my my... really shows how old I am eh?

sheering the stripes

Another comfy outfit for pregnant me. You can see my baby bump more now as I enter my 2nd trimester. I cannot wait to learn what gender my baby is! I will know in a couple of weeks!!! I am really hoping for a girl this time but I have a strong feeling that it's going to be a boy. But let us wait and see shall we?

Wearing my ultra cute Ferretti flats with my stretch jersey dress. I just love slipping into comfy outfits now. And most of the time I am just too lazy to dress up.  It is so hard to dress around the bulging tummy. Teehee.

What I wore to the Clinique party

0 said something
As of the moment I am super obsessed with maxi skirts. I was so happy when I found this particular skirt in Topshop at 50% off (last piece in my size too!) I totally love the eggplant colour since I am trying to collect maxi skirts in a bunch of different colours. Since I'm pregnant I was thinking of going to make maxi skirts as one of my pregnancy uniform. :)

I love my makeup here c/o Paolo & Clinique. Just want to share a small tip I got from Paolo. Did you know that if you're going to buy a foundation you should buy one shade darker than your skin tone? If you have a lighter shade foundation don't throw it away coz you can use it as a highlighter! Cool eh?

This is my fierce look! Hahaha.

Clinique Real Women Party

0 said something
I want to say thank you to all of you who joined the Clinique Real Women Party contest. I really enjoyed reading all your Clinique story. I wish I could bring all of you with me as a date but we are only allowed one.

The Clinique counter with their popular 3 step skin care and hypoallergenic make-up.

Paolo (Makeup Consultant of Clinique) and Mira (Marketing Manager of Clinique)

My date Gino getting his make-over.

Look how pretty my date Gino is! I love all Gino's skincare tidbits. This guy is obsessed with skincare! And it is quite obvious coz of his glowing skin! I learned quite a bit from him. We were convincing him to start his own beauty blog. We are still waiting for it Gino! ;)

Look at Liz's awesome leather jacket & dress! Monochromatic chic!

I love Lauren's blue creepers & Shen's animal print cover up!

Me, getting my make-over from Paolo. Look how splotchy my face is.  I reckon the hormones are the culprits.

Thank you Paolo for making me look beautiful. :)

After our make-over from Clinique. Love our glowing looks!

Thank you Clinique for this wonderful party! It was great to be able to learn more about your brand and hang out with awesome interesting people!

Want your own Globe Billboard?

0 said something
You may have seen a couple of LED Billboards around the metro flashing photos of bloggers & online personalities sporting a "I CHOOSE TATTOO" tattoo on them. I was fortunate enough to be chosen as one of the bloggers for this campaign. Truly truly grateful. I mean never would I imagine seeing myself in a huge billboard! Heeeeeee...

This is how my billboard looked like. I haven't seen the actual LED billboard yet though. Hoping to see it one of these days when I pass by EDSA, Lawton or Katipunan.

Now do you want your own billboard? Then here is your chance!!!

Flaunt your originality and get creative as you deviate from the norm with a distinct flair of radical and inspired imagination. Globe-powered Tattoo gives everyone the chance to manifest their individuality and wear their choice proud.

As the #1 most preferred broadband in the country, Tattoo lets you express yourself as you show off your unique personality to get the chance to be literally seen on a LED billboard along EDSA Paragon, Lawton, and Katipunan.

Clicking has never been so rewarding—in order to join, simply “Like” the Tattoo Facebook page to access the “I Choose Tattoo” Facebook App where you can upload your picture. Photos to be submitted must highlight the phrase “I CHOOSE TATTOO” on a body part and can be written, tattooed, painted or done in any manner as long as it’s visible. Participants who wish to join should also keep in mind that photos with profanity, foul language, and nudity will automatically
be disqualified. The image should include the user’s face and must specifically be 300dpi and at least 5” x 7” in size.

Tattoo will be the sole judge for each submitted picture based on the following criteria: Edgy and Fierce look - 40%; Originality and creativity of the I CHOOSE TATTOO design - 40% and Over- all impact of the photo - 20%

Each valid photo entry gets the chance to win awesome prizes from Globe. Eight (8) winners will be chosen from a Weekly Raffle Draw and will each get P20,000 in cash.

On the 25th of November, a Grand Raffle Draw will be held to determine the two lucky winners who will each receive P35,000 cash, a Samsung Galaxy Tab and a Tattoo MyFi Stick for easy access to the net—anytime, anywhere.

The promo is open to all interested Facebook users in the Philippines. Deadline of submission of entries is on November 17, 2011.

To know more about the complete mechanics and rules, log on to Globe Tatoo Facebook page.

Globe/Tattoo reserves the right to conduct further validation of entries before acceptance and awarding of prize.

time to grab your Grubbies now

0 said something
There's a new brand in town! Girls, let me introduce you to Grubbies.

Grubbies is a clothing line for those who are busy as hell. It’s for active women who need durable clothes that they can move in comfortably all day, under humid heat or pouring rain. Grubbies is designed for the fast-paced lifestyle women have today. What I like about Grubbies is their clothes are made of soft, stretchable and airy fabric like jersey, French terry, pique, and dri-fit. This means that you get maximum comfort and ease when you are wearing their pieces.

Catch them this weekend at the Global Pinoy Bazaar!!!

heathers

0 said something
When you are a blogger you tend to try out a lot of trends. I just realize whilst looking at my closet awhile ago that I've kinda out grown a whole bunch of my trendier clothes. I think I am getting older as the youngish looking clothes looks quite funny on me. I tried a couple of frilly pastel dresses awhile ago and I think they don't fit me at all now. I reckon I better stick to what I know is suitable to my age & my style. Something like this: a pair if trousers, loose tops and statement shoes in my neutral BWG palette. I better start sticking to not so trendy clothes and classic pieces but those with a twist. In other words, I need keep in mind that not all trends would look good on me. Just because it looks great on say Rumi doesn't mean it would look great on me. Hahaha. I need to learn to edit & choose wisely now whilst shopping. Learn to buy things that would mesh with the clothes that's already in my closet. I have to start maximizing my clothes. I'm ashamed to say that my cost per wear ratio for clothes are really low.

Halloween 2011!!!

The little boy went around the village last weekend to go trick or treating with the rest of the village kids. We dressed him up as a cute little giraffe. Eli was so cute he doesn't want to let go of his pumpkin basket filled with candy.
